Crazy Little Thing the Web
Pete Codella, APR has launched a new social media song and music video. It's called Crazy Little Thing the Web. The music video, published to YouTube, was made possible due to the talents and creativity of MultiMediaWise, a video production shop in Logan, Utah. The song debuted on Codella's Online PR Podcast and the video was debuted at a social media presentation Codella gave in Denver on June 24, 2009.

Codella to speak at ABC conference
On June 24, 2009 Pete Codella will present Securing Top Search Placement with an Online Newsroom at the annual Fund Development, Communications and Donor Recruitment Workshop for the America's Blood Centers organization at the Marriott Denver City Center.

Codella launches Online PR Podcast
In April 2009 Codella Marketing together with Code Greene, a web design firm, created the Online PR Podcast to discuss trends and provide tips to those interested in the convergence of public relations and technology. The weekly 30-minute podcast focuses on digital public relations, online search and Web development.

Codella to serve as instructor for UC Irvine Extension
Pete Codella, APR will begin instructing for the University of California, Irvine Extension in its public relations certificate program starting in Oct. 2009. He is developing the course Using Social Media as a Tool for Public Relations.

Codella booked as keynote speaker for Utah PR Position to Win conference
Pete Codella, APR is scheduled as the closing keynote speaker for the Utah PR Position to Win Conference on April 13, 2009. The conference, presented by the Utah State University Public Relations Student Society of America, aims to help students and professionals understand what it takes to advance careers and win new business in economically uncertain times.

Codella presents at Social Media for Communicators conference
Pete Codella, APR is one of the presenters at the 2009 Second Annual Social Media for Communicators conference in Las Vegas presented by Ragan Communications and the Public Relations Society of America. Oasis Pools
Codella Marketing created the online presence, including a Web site, blog, Twitter and Flickr accounts, for Southern Utah pool builder, Oasis Pools. Owner Matt Snow called on Codella Marketing for the project because of its experience in developing comprehensive inbound marketing programs for clients.

Codella Marketing developed the Internet site for Silverado Chiropractic in Las Vegas. Dr. Daniel Schultz, who owns Silverado Chiropractic, called on Codella Marketing because of its experience in crafting messages for the Internet, along with the speed and cost effectiveness of the firm's Web design practice.

Codella helps launch SMC SLC
Pete Codella, APR is one of the founding members of the fledgling Social Media Club of Salt Lake City. The local chapter of the worldwide organization will gather monthly on the third Thursday of each month beginning in 2009 to discuss social media trends and best practices.

Charley Snow
Codella Marketing developed the first online presence for central Utah artist, Charley Snow. Known for his rural portraits of cows, Snow choose Codella Marketing for the project because of its experience in customizing WordPress blogs and setting up Twitter accounts.

During the second week of October 2008 Codella Marketing moved its offices from Las Vegas to northern Utah. A new kind of community festival arrived in the Las Vegas Valley on June 6, 2008. It was the miniPAH:Vegas festival, the brainchild of Christopher Coppola. PAH stands for Project Access Hollywood and the miniPAH:Vegas was our valley's first taste of a digital media festival. Participants competed for cash prizes by using mobile phones as video cameras. Codella attends IABC 2008 Leadership Institute
In preparation for his stint as president of the International Association of Business Communicators/Las Vegas, Pete Codella, APR will attend the IABC 2008 Leadership Institute Feb. 21-23 in San Antonio, Texas. The program helps volunteer chapter leaders learn how to make the most of IABC’s international recourses.

Codella helps with 27th Annual Bronze Quill Awards
As president-elect of IABC/Las Vegas Pete Codella, APR is responsible for coordinating judging of the chapter’s 2008 Bronze Quill Awards, the longest-running communicator’s award program in Nevada. He secured four Accredited IABC members to come to Las Vegas Jan. 12-13, 2008 to judge this year’s entries. The final deadline for submitting a Bronze Quill Award is Jan. 11.

Codella discusses online newsrooms and interactive public relations with students in the UNLV Certificate in PR course
Pete Codella, APR addressed a dozen working professionals currently enrolled in the UNLV Certificate in Public Relations Skills course on Oct. 3, 2007. The discussion focused on the need for an up-to-date online newsroom and distribution methods beyond fax and e-mail, like RSS.

On March 29, 2008 Codella Marketing represented Aztec Communication at a City of Las Vegas Ward 2 community information fair at the Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center. We staffed the Yucca Mountain booth and answered resident’s questions about the Yucca Mountain project.
