Codella Marketing to present introductory Webinar on Oral Health Dental Public Relations Toolkit

Periodontal disease linked to total body health through DNA

September 4, 2007

Tomorrow Pete Codella, APR will present a Webinar introducing the Oral Health Dental Public Relations Toolkit to clients and friends of ADDX and Gary Takacs. The toolkits were designed to provide a complete public relations package for communicating the importance of oral health along with new evidence that links, through DNA, oral health to overall health.

The Webinar will be archived and made available on ADDX’s Web site.

If a person maintains good oral health, he or she is also likely to benefit from good overall health. New DNA tests can identify genetic susceptibility to gum disease and therefore systemic, or entire body, disease using a testing method developed by ADDX.

There are 13 strains of bacteria most common in the U.S. population that cause gum disease and can also contribute to heart disease, stroke, preterm birth, pregnancy complications, worsening of diabetes and certain forms of cancer. Early treatment of gum disease, or periodontitis, helps prevent these other whole body health problems.

There has never been a more proven link between oral health and overall well-being.

The Oral Health Dental Public Relations Toolkit developed by Codella Marketing in conjunction with Gary Takacs and ADDX has been designed for dental practices across America to use its tools to tell the oral and overall health story to the media and the public.

The free Webinar is available on CodellaMarketing.com.

The Dental Public Relations Toolkit was developed by Codella Marketing in conjunction with ADDX and Gary Takacs as a way for dental practices to initiate public relations activities to promote their services. The first Toolkit, focused on oral health and the DNA-PCR tests, helps dental offices publicize the latest DNA-based technology in combating periodontitis, commonly known as gum disease.
