IABC/Las Vegas awards 2007 Communicator of the Year Award to Pete Codella, APR

The Las Vegas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators today bestowed one of its top honors on its president-elect, Pete Codella, APR of Codella Marketing LLC. It named Codella the 2007 Communicator of the Year.
The 27th Annual Bronze Quill Awards program states, "The Communicator of the Year Award is a prestigious designation bestowed upon an IABC member who has made significant contributions to the profession and the chapter, and has demonstrated the highest level of professionalism."
IABC/Las Vegas was founded in 1978 and has named a Communicator of the Year annually since 1993.
"It is an incredible honor to receive the Communicator of the Year Award," said Codella, "especially in light of its rich history and this year's other nominees, Kathy Blaha and Art Greene. I am humbly grateful for the designation and incredibly fortunate to work alongside many outstanding communicators on the IABC/Las Vegas board."
As presented in the 27th Annual Bronze Quill Awards program, this is the summary for Communicator of the Year Finalist Pete Codella, APR:
"Pete Codella is an Accredited Public Relations advisor, experienced communications professional, marketing, and advertising counselor. He has senior level management experience in public relations and advertising agencies, and has operated his own public relations firm in Las Vegas for more than five years. His professional experience in communications dates back to his first entrepreneurial venture as a junior in college.
"For more than eight years, Pete has been involved in the management of design, content and marketing strategies for online initiatives including Web sites, HTML e-mails, blogs and various types of social media associated with Web 2.0. He is a partner in the Blogging Vegas network and NewsCactus online newsroom solution. He is an efficient, organized team player with proven leadership and problem-solving abilities."
Last summer Codella received the IABC/Las Vegas President's Award recognizing outstanding service on the association's board of directors.
